  1. Ensure that your app is looking great, and is full of all the content you want your community to engage with. The more you have available within your app, the more reasons you give your users to return, and make using your app a part of their lives - a digital habit.
  2. Decide on a regular event you host - for example: a staff meeting, a members meeting, a church service, a fundraiser, or national gathering.
  3. Before the day, ask everyone coming to the meeting to bring their devices (phones and tablets).
  4. On the day, allocate a few minutes to:
    1. Explain why your organisation has launched an app, what it will do for your users and your community
    2. Help everyone understand what they can get in your app - media, events, giving etc.
    3. Do a 'medium' speed demo of how to install the app and install it. While you do this, ask everyone to actually get their device out while you speak and follow your instructions. That way, you know that the majority of people in the meeting leave with your app already installed.
    4. Offer assistance after your meeting to the 'technically challenged' At the end of your 'how-to' presentation, let people know where they can get personal help with these steps. (Think of your grandmother needing help).
