Managing Product Options - Option Library

Understanding how to manage the options available for your products is critical in creating your library of products.

Before adding any specific product, you need to create a library of ‘Product Options’ and ‘Menu Options’. These options become available for you to select when setting up a product.

For example: You may expect to add a t-shirt with small, medium and large sizes, as well as shoes with numbered sizes (1-13). In this case, you should add an option called ‘Size’ and then add ‘Small’, ‘Medium’, ‘Large’, ‘1', ‘2’, ‘3’, ‘4’, ‘5’, ‘6’, ‘7’, ‘8’, ‘9’, ‘10’, 111’, ‘12’ and ‘13’ all as size options.

Adding possible product options

Create your library of possible product options before adding products:

1. Login to the EzyStream Dashboard

2. Browse to Manage >Products in the top right menu.

3. Click ‘Product Options’ in the top right of your production screen.

4. Select ‘+ Product Option’

5. Enter the name of an option you wish to make available for products. (E.g. Size, or Colour)

   • Even if you plan to have different types of products which have different types of size, all variations of possible size will be added to the same ‘size’ parameter.

   • You’ll have the option to select the valid size options for a specific product while adding the product.

6. [Available for some users] Determine whether the field will have pre-defined sizes (such as ‘small', ‘medium', ‘large'), or whether you want your user to enter free text within the option (e.g a custom colour request).

   • Select ’Allow this option to be free text’ if you want the user to enter their own text.

   • Note: If you select this box, you won’t have the option to add pre-defined options to the product option.

7. Click Save

8. Click the ‘Down’ arrow next to your new product option.

9. Click ‘+Menu Option’

10. Add each Menu Option that could be available for the Product Option.
