Managing Products

You are able update the products available in your app’s shopping list via the EzyStream Dashboard. Its important to note that there are different components contributing to your product library.

Background

Every product has a set of values which can be set. Some of those values are pre-defined, and some vary by product, or product set.

Every product has:

  1. A Category and Sub-Category

  2. Details of the product

  3. ‘Product Options’ which can be pre-defined as variables within a product. (e.g Size, Colour). Learn how to pre-define your product options.

  4. ‘Menu Options' which are options loaded to the ‘Product Options’ you have created

You should configure pre-defined variables before adding a product. ie. your categories/sub-categories, and potential variables for products, such as size and colour.

Understand the flow for adding Products

Before you add specific products to your product list, you need to ensure your possible product options are defined.

  1. Create a library of Product Options. These options become available for you to select when setting up a product.
    For example: You may expect to add a t-shirt with small, medium and large sizes, as well as shoes with numbered sizes (1-13). In this case, you should add an option called ‘Size’ and then add ‘Small’, ‘Medium’, ‘Large’, ‘1', ‘2’, ‘3’, ‘4’, ‘5’, ‘6’, ‘7’, ‘8’, ‘9’, ‘10’, 111’, ‘12’ and ‘13’ all as size options.

  2. Add your product - for example ‘Men’s T-shirt'.

  3. Select applicable ‘Product Options’ for your product from your Options Library.
    Each product can have 3 Product Options (or variables) for each product, such as fit, colour, size. These options are set for the specific product, and become fixed for options within the product.

  4. Select the ‘Menu Options’ for your sub-products
    Each product can have multiple sub-products which are a specific combination of your product options.
    For example, your men’s t-shirt may have ‘Standard’ and ‘Fitted’ within your ‘Fit’ option. Within ‘Fitted’ you have ‘Red’ and Blue' options. You then have ‘Small’, ‘Medium’ and ‘Large’ available for each colour. If your standard t-shirt also has an ‘Extra Large’ option, you can add this for just the one option.
