If you choose to publish a Custom App, Google and Apple require you to operate your own developer account which EzyStream will load your app into.


  • Every app that is published to the Apple App Store, or as a Private B2b app is individually reviewed and approved Apple, according to the Apple Review Guidelines.
    Apple has very strict requirements about how your app should be published, and according to guideline 4.2.6, your app needs to be listed under your own developer account. This rule changed in January 2018, and all our customers are now required to operate their own developer account.

  • While Google does not review every app before it goes live, they do random checks to ensure their Developer Policy is being adhered to, and will instantly de-list your app if not. Their Policy also require your app to be listed under your own developer account.
  • Please note that a small fee is payable directly to Apple and Google to be a part of their developer community, and these fees are not included in package pricing from EzyStream.

Please follow these following instructions for each platform:

Google Developer Account

  1. Create (or choose an existing) Google Account to own your Google Developer Account: 
    1. Go to http://accounts.google.com and create your account. Alternatively login to an existing Google Account you own. You may consider creating a generic email address for your organisation (e.g. support@yourcompany.com).
  2. Sign up to the Google Play Developer Programme:
    1. Go to https://play.google.com/apps/publish
    2. Accept the Terms and Conditions
    3. Pay your Registration Fee to Google
  3. Invite members of our development team to your Google Account.
    1. Login to the Play Console
      2. Click 'Settings' on the left hand menu
      3. Click Users 
      4. Invite me our team (apps@ezystreamapppublishing@ezystream.com) to be an administrator of your account. It's important that you assign administrator rights if at all possible.

  1. Create (or choose an existing) Apple ID to own your Apple Developer Account: 
    1. Go to appleid.apple.com and create your account. You may consider creating a generic email address for your organisation (e.g. support@yourcompany.com).
  2. Enroll Enrol into the Apple Developer Programme
    1. Visit https://developer.apple.com/programs/enroll/. Read the requirements, check you have access to your DUNS number, and click 'Start your EnrollmentEnrolment'
    2. A DUNS number is a free identifier that Apple uses to check the validity of your organisation. You can check if you have one already here, or request one here, or call Dun & Bradstreet if you think you may already have one/Illion (0800362222) for help. Many organisations do have this number already for other purposes. Try using your NCN or NZBN in you're based in NZ.
    3. Apple will call you to verify that you are authorised to enter into a legal agreement with them. (You need to be an employee of your organisation and have the required authority to sign the Apple Developer Agreement).
    4. Once Apple has approved your EnrollmentEnrolment, login at developer.apple.com, agree to the agreement, and pay your membership fee.
    5. We highly recommend setting up Auto Renew billing for your account as this must stay active for your app to remain active.
  3. Invite members of our development team to your Apple Developer Account. Please email help@ezystream.com when you are ready to do this step.Invite members of our development team to team (apppublishing@ezystream.com) to your App Store Connect Account. Please email help@ezystream.com when you are ready to do this step. to be an administrator of your account. It's important that you assign administrator rights, as well as tick 'Access to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles.'
